Three Ordinary Women: A Lenten Reflection
Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 7 PM in the Social Hall With Anne-Marie Fry
Lent is a time of reflection. A time when we step back and look at ourselves through the eyes of faith. A time to adjust course on our journey of spiritual growth. During this time we look for people to guide us along our path. Jesus gave us His mother, who is the model of the perfect disciple. The woman who gave herself fully and purely to the will of the Father. But Mary is not alone. We need only to look to the pages of sacred scripture to see that God gave us other role models. Other women who said, “Yes. Be it done unto me according to Thy will.” It is to three of these women that we look for guidance along our own path to holiness. In this talk, we will look at three ordinary women who knew the Blessed Virgin Mary. Three ordinary women who walked with Christ. Three ordinary women who gave an unconditional“Yes.” Three ordinary women who lived extraordinary lives.
