Jail and Outreach Ministry
The Jail and Outreach Ministry center does so many wonderful things for our brothers and sisters truly in need. We have an opportunity to be the Hands and Feet of Jesus with them. They are asking for our help. They wanted to get an early start with collecting supplies for the kids going to school in the fall. They need backpacks, notebooks, crayons, pencils, markers and all those items kids need for going to school. Please place the items in the bins in the Gathering Space. Thank you for helping in any way that you can. These children will be blessed by your generosity. We will have this collection through Sunday, June 25. Have your children help too. Let them do a chore, earn some money to be used to buy the item. It is never too early to teach children about giving to others and teaching them that Jesus dwells in every person we meet every day. Let’s teach our little ones to Love as Jesus loves us.
And Jesus said, “ ‘For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’ Then the righteous will answer him and say, ‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?’
And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did to these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’”
