Thanksgiving Baskets Project
Supporting Those Less Fortunate
Our goal is to put together 135 baskets this year, supporting three Detroit-area Catholic schools, C.A.R.E.S. Food Bank in Farmington and St. Dominic Outreach Center in Detroit. There are three phases to our project:
The gratitude expressed by both the families and the principals from the various organizations we support is overwhelming. Your efforts touch other families in very personal ways by providing wonderful holiday meals. If you have any questions, please contact the Religious Formation Office.
Thank you in advance and God bless,
Cathy Hubbard, Thanksgiving Basket Coordinator

To ensure a balanced combination of items for each basket, we ask that the students in each grade bring the following as able. Anything above and beyond is also appreciated. Thank you for your assistance.
- Raising money to purchase items for the baskets. Suggested donation is $20, but any amount is accepted. Here is the link to donate: https://ppay.co/oSeSCDE0egY, by November 16th.
- Collecting non-perishable food by November 18th. Cans of yams (40 oz), carrots, green beans, corn, peas (all 14.7 oz), cranberry sauce (14 oz), turkey gravy (CANS ONLY, NO GLASS JARS, PLEASE) and boxes of corn muffin mix (8 oz), stuffing (6 oz), and mashed potatoes (13.7 oz). There will be bins in the back of church, Religious Formation office and school classrooms for the items. Do you have students in our school? See below for grade-specific donations.
- Assembly of baskets on November 22nd (thank you, Youth Ministry Participants), and delivery of baskets on November 24th. We need volunteers for delivery. Please email Cathy Hubbard to volunteer: cmkhubbard@gmail.com.
