About Me
Ms. Rich began teaching math to middle schoolers in 2010. In 2020, she started working at St. Fabian. Both of her children are students here at St. Fabian. She enjoys doing puzzles and spending time with her children and family.
The Middle School Math Room
Math is a building blocks concept. You want to have a good solid foundation to build up. In 5th grade, we learn basic operations with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions. In 6th grade we add to that by introducing Algebraic expressions and equations to those numbers. Then in 7th Grade, we introduce negative numbers to algebra. And finally in 8th grade, we add more complex problems from the previous year’s topics and introduce new concepts such as Pythagorean Theorem.
