Mrs. Kerwin has actively worked with children in one capacity or another since she was a high school student. She began her teaching career at St. Fabian in 2004 teaching Kindergarten, then 5th grade before being asked to help children develop a relationship with Jesus in middle school theology. In 2018, she spread her role to the parish as well and has been the parish's high school youth ministry coordinator and the director of religious formation.

St. Fabian has been my adult home away from home for over 20 years! I have been mentored and guided through my career by veteran teachers and colleagues each time I've changed grades or curriculum, and I have forged lifelong friendships with parents, fellow teachers, and the wonderful volunteers of the parish in my various ministerial roles for the parish. My husband and I are blessed to be a part of this faith community and enjoy serving in various ministries here.
My classroom goals for my students are First, to encounter Jesus in a meaningful way through class discussions, activities and with scripture reflection. Second, to strengthen and support the moral foundation of each student as they encounter the world around them as disciples. Third, for each student to develop a relationship and deeper understanding of the Scripture and Catechism of the Catholic Church. |
