About Me
I grew up in Dearborn Heights, MI where I attended Divine Child all 12 years. As the saying goes “Once A Falcon Always a Falcon” has stayed true to this day. From Dearborn Divine Child, I finished my schooling at the University of Michigan. I always knew from a young age (5) that I wanted to be a teacher. Since 2007, I have actively worked with children by teaching Sunday School and catechism classes at Divine Child as well as babysitting. My teaching career started 3 years ago in the Archdiocese of Detroit teaching preschool. I currently teach first grade. In my free time I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, friends and dogs (Axel and Brady), puzzles, legos and reading books.
From the Teacher
As a first grade teacher, I love to spend time with my students in fun and engaging activities. They will be growing academically, socially and spiritually throughout the school year. My favorite thing to do is to get to know each and every student as well as their families. We have many different learning styles and I get to know the way everyone learns based on small groups. Working in small groups allows me to work one on one and see each student's strengths and weaknesses. This lets me focus on giving them the opportunity to grow in their schooling. There’s so much curriculum learned in first grade from counting to reading and even animals and plants. Each student brings something to our learning experience in the first grade classroom.
