About Ms. Fredericks
Ms. Fredericks has been teaching for the past 11 years. She started her teaching career working within a medical setting, with students who suffered traumatic brain injuries (TBI's). Afterwards, transitioned to a Reading and Math Interventionist for K-8. When Covid happened, Ms. Fredericks accepted a classroom position in 4th/5th grade. This is where she spent the last 4 years teaching math, science, and religion.
From the Teacher
As the new Fourth grade teacher, I love to see my students learning and growing together. They ask lots of questions, and have many stories to tell! We write and share prayers, work through math problems, and dive into science together as a class. As the teacher, I act as their guide, and facilitate their thinking. We strive to make cross-curricular connections from reading to math to science. Bringing new vocabulary words into our writing stories, and connecting our faith into all that we do. My primary goal is to ensure that the classroom is a safe, and welcoming environment for all students to excell, while reaching their individual learning needs. Our classroom philosophy is to have a growth mindset. To stay positive, and remember that we may not get it "yet," but if we keep at it, and put our best foot forward the rule of sevens will help us to master the concept.
