B.A. in Elementary Education with a focus in English Language Arts, Oakland University
About Me
I grew up in Northville, MI where I attended K-12 schools and have just recently moved to Commerce, MI! I have actively worked with children since 2010 when I began volunteering in my Church's Sunday School classroom, which is also where I found my love for teaching. In 2018 I began my education journey for teaching at Oakland University. I graduated in May of 2022 and began substitute teaching for the remainder of the school year. This is my first year at St.Fabian as a Kindergarten teacher!
From the Teacher
As a Kindergarten teacher at St. Fabian, I love to spend time teaching my students in fun and engaging ways! I love getting to know each and every student as well as their families, as having that connection is such an important aspect of being a teacher. My favorite part of the day is meeting with my small groups and watching them grow each time we are together. I also love meeting as a class on the carpet to read new books. Kindergarten is a place where many foundational skills are learned and it is amazing to see the growth each child has from August all the way to June!
