"Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have; God is pleased by sacrifices of that kind" (Hebrews 13:16).
Alternative Christmas FairSt. Fabian assists Hope Lutheran Church (located on 12 Mile Road just east of Haggerty) with this fair in early November, where more than 50 charities set up tables and sell unique gifts. All profits go directly to the charities.
Funeral LuncheonsA wonderful group of volunteers provides an invaluable service to our parishioners who are suffering the loss of a loved one. They prepare, serve, and clean up luncheons that can accommodate 25 to 200 people. Contact Mary Doot to make arrangments: mdoot@stfabian.org, or: 248-553-4610. Home VisitorsThis ministry allows those who are homebound to receive Holy Communion on a regular basis, and lets them know that they are still a vital part of our parish. To request visits, contact Sue Crudgington: scrudgington@stfabian.org, or: 248-553-4610.

Housing the HomelessIn November of 2021, we will offer hospitality to 45-55 guests who have nowhere to call home. We work in conjunction with the Cass Community Center in Detroit. Hundreds of volunteers are needed each year to make this week a warm and welcoming one for our guests. Click here for more information.
Quilter GroupMembers gather every Tuesday morning to create beautifully handmade lap quilts that are given as gifts to the families our Youth Group serves on the annual Mission Trip. They are also given to recipients of Meals on Wheels, nursing home residents - anyone who needs one. For more information, call Pat at 248-859-4516.
Rebuilding TogetherA national organization that works with city governments to identify families in need of assistance with home repair. Parish volunteers team up with the Knights of Columbus and work one Saturday in late April or early May, from 8am to 5pm, doing anything from painting, plumbing, roofing, gardening, laying floors, etc.–whatever is needed to improve the home we are assigned. Funding is provided by donations from the parish, local building supply stores, and Rebuilding Together. Volunteers can sign up here: www.rebuildingtogethersem.org.

St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP)If you or someone you know living within our parish boundaries is in need of food, clothing, emergency funds to help with utility payments or shelter, our secretary will put you in contact with the SVDP team. Team members will meet with you to assess your situation and provide assistance. Click here for more information.
Different SVDP chapters cover area parishes, so help is still available for those who are not within our particular parish boundaries. Soup KitchensParishioners serve at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, or Coalition on Temporary Shelter (COTS), both in Detroit. Parishioners also serve at St. Christine's in Detroit six times a year. We also accept donations of non-perishable food for St. Christine’s on an on-going basis. Look for the box marked "St. Christine’s" in the church vestibule. To volunteer at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen or COTS, contact Cindy Matuszak: 248-553-8734. To volunteer at St. Christine's, contact Maryann Valade: mavalade@gmail.com, or: 248-225-5970.
