| Grade 7-Pre Algebra
In this course students learn foundational algebraic concepts such as number systems, operations, and forms. Students engage in activities which require them to perform operations (with integers, rational numbers, ratios, proportions, percents, square roots, radicals, equations, and inequalities) and apply properties. The course emphasizes the need for students to comprehend the abstract and symbolic nature of algebra.
The Principles and Standards for School Mathematics provide standards for students in grades 6-8.
The ITBS Form A for mathematics measures the skills and achievement of students in seventh grade.
