St. Fabian Family,
I wanted to report to you regarding the school auction that took place 4/6. I am so humbled by the generosity and community spirit that I witnessed. Those who were there contributed over $50,0000, with almost $15,000 of that generated for the “Fund our Future” perpetual endowment!
First of all, thank you to our auction committee. I'm blown away by the hours of hard work and sacrifice that were dedicated to organizing, decorating, paperwork, marketing, and hosting. It takes a village to pull off an event like this, and our village was shining last weekend! It is an honor to work closely with all of you, and I'm so grateful for the time and effort that you put forth to throw such a smashing evening!
We look to build our future at St. Fabian because our future is strong! Perhaps you were looking to offer support in the “Fund our Future” endowment. Help us to reach our goal of raising an additional $10,000 for the endowment.

As all of you know, it is a sacrifice that we make for the children to receive a Catholic education. The sacrifice of parents to pay for tuition, uniforms, and supplies. The sacrifice of our parish community, who support our school spiritually, as well as financially, and the support of our staff for being dedicated to Catholic education. Our fund the future endowment fund is in place to provide many items to our school that are not a part of our budget. These things include our classroom assistants and curriculum enrichment materials. Recently, our principal search committee has discerned in their meetings that there is a very real need to invest more in the marketing of our school, and of as always, we seek to support our students who are in an acute need of tuition assistance.
Catholic education is a vocation. It is a vocation for the students, as everything we do is meant to model Christ's discipleship. It is a vocation for our parents, many of whom are called to dedicate their children in Catholic education, just as they were once educated. It is a vocation for our staff. Catholic school faculty and staff are called to be in their classrooms and schools because they know the value of the education being offered, and many are the product of Catholic education too. These dedicated professionals are paid significantly under their public school counterparts, and are here because they are called here to be a witness of Christ to our children.
We come together as many parts, but all one body of Christ. Thank you for your continued support ofCatholic education, and most especially, thank you for your continued dedication to St. Fabian Catholic School.
In His Peace,
Mrs. Kerwin
