Housing the Homeless
From October 28 - November 4, 2017, we offer hospitality to 45-55 guests who have nowhere to call home. We work in conjunction with the Cass Community Center in Detroit. Hundreds of volunteers are needed each year to make this week a warm and welcoming one for our guests. Click here for more information.

A national organization that works with city governments to identify families in need of assistance with home repair. Parish volunteers team up with the Knights of Columbus and work one Saturday in late April or early May, from 8am to 5pm, doing anything from painting, plumbing, roofing, gardening, laying floors, etc.–whatever is needed to improve the home we are assigned. Funding is provided by donations from the parish, local building supply stores, and Rebuilding Together. Volunteers can sign up here: www.rebuildingtogether-oaklandcounty.org.
St. Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP)
If you or someone you know living within our parish boundaries is in need of food, clothing, emergency funds to help with utility payments or shelter, our secretary will put you in contact with the SVDP team. Team members will meet with you to assess your situation and provide assistance. Click here for more information.
Different SVDP chapters cover area parishes, so help is still available for those who are not within our particular parish boundaries.
