Prospective Parent Information

  • The student scores for the October 2006 MEAP are: 
    • In the 7th grade 100% met or exceeded the standards in writing and 88% met or exceeded the standards in reading and math. 
    • In the 8th grade, 95% met or exceeded the standards in writing, in science, 96% met or exceeded the standards, 100% met or exceeded the standards in reading, and 94% met or exceeded the standards in math.
    • The MEAP is no longer given at St. Fabian School because of the change in the Michigan Merit Scholarship.
  • Currently there are 489 students enrolled in the school.
  • School begins at 8:05 a.m. and dismissal is at 3:00 p.m.
  • Families who live in the Farmington Public Schools district are eligible for bus transportation.
  • St. Fabian School has two full day kindergartner classrooms and two classrooms of grades one through eight.
  • The class size in the kindergarten is a maximum of twenty students, and in grades one through eight the class size averages between twenty-four to thirty students.
  • Paraprofessionals are utilized in kindergarten through third grades.
  • In kindergarten through fifth grades, the students participate in at least one “special” class per day. They are: art, computer, library, music, physical education, and Spanish.
  • The “special” classes for the middle school are: art, computer, physical education, Spanish and study skills.
  • On the IOWA Test of Basic Skills in November 2008, the average score for grades three, five and seven is in the 82th percentile which is well above the national, archdiocesan and private school norms.
  • The tuition covers all books, fees and PTG dues.
