Dear Friends,
Our parish community is finally going to embark on something which has been in planning for many years. On Sunday, June 2nd, right after the 12:30 pm Mass, you are invited to join us in pray as we mark the official groundbreaking for our new gathering space. This gathering space will increase the size of our vestibule for baptisms, funerals and other celebrations, as well as make our community even more welcoming during our weekend liturgies. The addition of bathrooms and a cry room/bride’s room are much needed. Our upgrades to our sanctuary and new technologies are also very exciting improvements. So please join us on Sunday, June 2, as we pray for God’s blessing, especially for the safety of those who will be working at our parish for these next several months.
Important Note to Daily Mass Goers
For those who attend daily Mass, please note that just for the days of Monday, June 3 – Thursday, June 6, daily Mass at 8:15 am will take place in the small social hall. (This is because school is still in session until Friday, June 7.) On Friday, June 7 – and from that point forward – all Masses will take place in the school gym during the summer months.
Weekend and Daily Masses in School Gym
Starting on Friday, June 7th with the 8:30 am School Mass (the last day of the school year) all daily and weekend Masses will take place in the air-conditioned school gym. Entering the school for these Masses will be quite easy. The main doors of the school are located at the rear of the property, near the play ground area. Once entering the building, just walk down the main hallway to the gym. The entrance to the gym is conveniently located across the hall from both a men and women’s bathroom. Planning for the decoration of the gym to be used as a sacred space is being handled by our dedicated members on the Worship Commission. We will do our best to make sure that the acoustics, lighting, and seating are conducive to prayer during these summer months. While we spend time in the gym, great work will be done in the church, as well as on the new gathering space. Please don’t go anywhere else during the summer months, but plan to worship with our parish family as we embark on this adventure together!
